QSense-Motion IMU Motion Platform

Wireless IMU Motion Capture Platform

The foundation for real-time motion intelligence in performance-critical applications

QSense provides a high-fidelity, low-latency, time-synchronized wireless IMU motion capture platform designed for real-world use. Built for demanding environments, our platform enables organizations to capture, analyze and act on human motion where accuracy, reliability and timing are critical.

From clinical rehabilitation and industrial ergonomics to elite sports and tactical training – QSense delivers the motion data foundation you can trust.

What is the QSense Platform?

The QSense platform is a complete motion sensing ecosystem that combines:

  • High-performance wearable IMU sensors
  • Real-time wireless data streaming and synchronization
  • Open SDKs and APIs for integration
  • Visualization, recording and analysis tools

All components are designed to work seamlessly together – so you can focus on building applications and solutions, not infrastructure.

Whether you are developing a new product, running pilot studies or scaling to production, QSense provides a robust and flexible platform to support your journey.

Platform Architecture – Designed for Real-World Use

The QSense platform is built around a modular, layered architecture:

  • Wearable IMU sensors capture high-resolution motion data
  • Wireless communication layer ensures low-latency, synchronized data transfer
  • Core firmware and algorithms process and fuse sensor data in real time
  • SDKs & APIs expose clean, transparent data streams to your application
  • Visualization & tooling support setup, monitoring and validation

This architecture allows you to move seamlessly from prototype to production – without changing platforms.

Built for Demanding Environments

Why QSense Exists

Most motion data is still hard to capture outside the lab, fragile in real conditions, or locked inside a closed system that will not hand you raw samples. QSense was built the other way around: field-ready hardware, open output formats, deterministic timing, and an architecture that scales from one sensor to eighteen without a change of platform.

If you are weighing inertial capture against an optical system, or want the underlying principles first, start with our guide to inertial measurement units and motion tracking.

Three Ways to Record – With or Without a Host Device

The QSense IMU motion capture platform does not assume a computer in the room. You can stream live to a host device over a wireless BLE dongle, record centrally on the body-worn FieldSync HUB, or record inside each sensor and download afterwards. The sensors, the application and the output formats are identical in all three — you are choosing a recording method, not a different system.

Partners build products on this: ORYX Movement Solutions docked the FieldSync HUB into the back of a tablet for ORYX GO, so a full gait assessment runs on one handheld device.

One Application for the Whole Platform

Every part of the IMU motion capture platform — streaming, HUB recording, sensor configuration, download and export — runs from a single QSense application on Windows, with a mobile app for streaming on Android and iOS. Sensor groups are defined once and reused. The interface has been rebuilt so a non-technical operator can go from unboxing to a synchronized recording in minutes, and devices are firmware-upgradable, so hardware already deployed gains new capability rather than needing replacement.

From Prototype to Production – With One Platform

Many teams struggle with the gap between proof-of-concept and production. QSense bridges that gap.

Use the same platform to:

  • validate concepts in early pilots
  • develop and test applications
  • integrate into products
  • and scale to volume production

We support you with engineering expertise across hardware, firmware, algorithms and system integration – so you can focus on delivering value.
