IMU Sensor Modules

IMU Sensor Modules for Sports Science, Rehabilitation & OEM Integration

Validated configurations. Predictable performance. No black boxes.

QSense IMU Sensor Modules deliver research-grade motion data in real-world conditions. Whether you are running biomechanics studies, building rehabilitation tools, or developing a commercial product, QSense provides an open, time-synchronized, and integration-ready IMU platform without cloud lock-in or closed ecosystems.

Stream raw accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer data or fused quaternions directly into your own software. Configure everything in minutes using our PC application or SDKs, and scale from single-sensor pilots to full multi-sensor setups with deterministic timing and predictable performance.

This page focuses on how QSense is used in practice: typical configurations, performance envelopes, and real deployment scenarios in sports science, rehabilitation, and OEM product development.

IMU Sensor Modules for research & sports

Why Researchers Choose QSense IMU Sensor Modules

Researchers work with QSense because it removes friction from experimental design and data ownership:

Open data access
Capture raw, fused, or quaternion data locally. No mandatory cloud, no subscriptions, no vendor lock-in.

Ultra-precise time synchronization
Typical inter-sensor sync accuracy ~60 µs (max <150 µs). Critical for gait symmetry, coordination analysis, and multi-segment kinematics.

Low-latency feedback
7.5 ms at the sensor, 15 ms through the QSense wireless BLE dongle (the latency you achieve depends on the wireless BLE implementation, the operating system and the application), enabling real-time biofeedback and coaching cues.

Field-ready hardware
IP67, 8 g, pocket-size modules suitable for labs, clinics, gyms, and outdoor environments.

Freedom of analysis
Export to CSV or quaternion logs. Integrate with MATLAB, Python, R, Unity, or your own pipelines. Your models, your IP.

Why OEMs Build with QSense IMU Sensor Modules

QSense is designed from the ground up for integration into commercial products.

Integration-first architecture
Stable, documented Core and Dongle interfaces. Clean C#/.NET Standard APIs. No reverse engineering.

Flexible outputs & sample rates
1–800 Hz per sensor. Choose raw, fused, or quaternion data per project.

Scales cleanly
One dongle supports up to 12 sensors; a second dongle extends this to 18. Throughput guidelines ensure predictable performance.

Transparent licensing
Non-exclusive by default. Exclusivity possible with volume commitments.

Privacy & IP friendly
All data stays in your product and your infrastructure. No data siphoning, no platform dependency.

OEM customization
Board-level variants, firmware features, enclosure changes, and connector options available.

FAQs

Do I need a cloud account?

No. Capture and process locally. You own the data pipeline.

Can I use my own BLE stack instead of the dongle?

Yes—for simple setups the device can stream to a phone/tablet/PC. For multi-sensor and tight sync, the dongle is recommended.

Can I export to BVH/FBX?

Yes—use our sample tools or your own scripts to convert quaternions/CSV to BVH/FBX for visualization/animation.

Is it research-only?

Standard kits are offered for research/evaluation. Contact us for OEM/product integration and certification paths.
